Book Swap - How it Works:

• PICK A BOOK: Each attendee picks a book they LOVED that fits into the Mystery genre (any sub-genre is allowed – cozy, police procedural, thriller, etc.). You don't have to physically have the book, you can pull up the cover image on your phone or print out a color copy to hold up.
• THE PITCH: We will go around the Zoom room and each attendee will “sell” their book and tell us why they loved it, why you will want to read it, why they couldn’t put it down.
• THE SWAP: After everyone has introduced their books, we will draw numbers and the person with #1 will choose a book they want to take home.
• THE STEALS: Beware, though, we will allow 2 steals before the book finds its forever home.
• THE DELIVERY: Once the swap is finished, each person will coordinate with the person who "got" their book and work out a way to get it to them. This is why you don't need to have the book in your possession, you can order it and ship it directly to your recipient, get it for them on Kindle, etc.
• THE TBR LIST: Everyone will leave with a new list of books to read too, it'll be all of the great ones that were stolen from your grasp.

Rules & Suggestions: We would recommend you NOT choose a book that most people have read, like a classic Agatha Christie. You want to choose a book that everyone will want to read because they haven’t read it and you’ve sold it so well.
