Book Swap & Tea (Back by Popular Demand) - Sept. 27

How the book swap works:

  • Each attendee brings a new or gently used copy of a book they LOVED that fits into the Mystery genre (any subgenre is allowed – cozy, police procedural, thriller, etc.).
  • Books should be wrapped, anything works - brown paper, pink tissue paper, plastic grocery bag.
  • We will go around the table and each attendee will “sell” their book and tell us why they loved it, why everyone will want to read it, why they couldn’t put it down - all without telling the title or author.
  • After everyone has introduced their books, we will draw numbers and the person with #1 will choose a book they want to take home.
  • Beware, though, we will allow 2 steals before the book finds its forever home.
  • Everyone will leave with a different book than they came with and hopefully everyone will also have a new list of books to read.
  • (Swapping at the end is completely encouraged, in case you get a book you've already read).

Menu and money notes:

  • Afternoon tea includes scones, baked savories, tea sandwiches, desserts, bottomless tea.
  • Total cost for afternoon tea is $58.32 per person, which includes tax and tips.
  • If you want to purchase something off their menu or if you need a gluten-free option, please tell Kerry in advance.
  • We will pay at the door, no prepay needed.
